This is their enchanted working space, which enhances and concentrates their personal power and increases the intensity and effectiveness of that ritual.A novice can cast simple spells without first creating a Magic Circle, and they will be effective as they should be.Where you are attempting to cast a more powerful and advanced spell, like any of the Master level spells, you should definitely do it from within a Magic Circle. It proves to the Universe, that you are serious, that you are not taking any shortcuts. So if you intent to cast a higher level spell (or if you want to give more potency to a simple Acolyte level spell), learn to create and close the Magic Circle. It will lift up your standing in the Magic fraternity, and it will give your spells additional strength. There are other ways of creating and closing Magic Circle than the one described below. Almost each Witch or Wizard has their own, slightly different way. You don’t need to do it my way in order to cast spells which I have created. If you so prefer, or have done it before, you can follow the ritual which you are most familiar with.If you never worked with a Magic Circle before, you should make a few practice runs of casting and closing the Magic Circle without actually performing any ritual in it.But: be serious. Don’t horse around, don’t laugh at or mock any Magic ritual. You never know what may happen, if you do.I am Charodan, 6th generation Wizard, and my Magic is good. But: . . . . . . . I would respectfully ask, that you don’t fool around with it.
